Gnädiges Vergessen

Das Vergessen als Gegenstück zum Speichern ist beinahe durchweg negativ konnotiert.Mit der Arbeit beleuchten wir die positive Seite des Vergessens. Ohne den Prozess des Vergessens würden unwichtig gewordene Informationen bis ins Unendliche anwachsen. Dinge, die im Moment hohe Priorität haben, werden auf Post-it-Notes geschrieben. Verlieren sie an Bedeutung wirft man die Zettel weg.
Der Schriftzug Gnädiges Vergessen aus einzelnen beschriebenen Post-it-Notes hat eine Größe von 11 x 1,5 m und war sowohl in einer Ausstellung im Museum Kulturspeicher in Würzburg, als auch bei den Mitarbeitertagen bei e.on in Hannover zu sehen.


To forget as the opposite of saving is connoted almost negative. With this work we show the positive moments of forgetting. Without the process of forgetting, this now unimportant informations would grow ad infinitum. Things, which are actually of high priority, are usually written on Post-it-notes. If they loose their importance, the chits will be thrown away.
The writing "Gnädiges Vergessen" (which means gracious oblivion) is made from single hand labelled Post-it-notes and has a size of 11 x 1,5 m. The installation was exposed at an exhibition in the museum Kulturspeicher in Würzburg and at the employee-days of e.on in Hannover.
